Costs: It is free to register for Active for Life and many associated activities. However, some activities e.g. swimming will incur a cost.

Aims: Active for Life is a free membership scheme to encourage inactive people of all ages to be more physically active. Those signing up for the scheme are making a pledge to be physically active for at least 30 minutes 3 times a week.

Nationally current figures show that among young people only 44% of boys and 31% of girls are achieving an hour of activity daily. Active for Life has been designed to impact on these low levels and increase them in South Gloucestershire. Many Active for Life activities have been set up to encourage young people to be more physically active.
